John A. Capozzoli

This 1930 United States Federal Census indicates John A. Capozzoli as head of his household.  It has a value of $20? The document describes John as a male, white, age 31, married at age 22, immigrated from Italy in 1902 who is able to read and write. It shows John as a WWI veteren being employed as a machinist for an automobile company.

John’s wife, Maryann, is shown as a white, female, age 30, married at age 20, born in New York. Her mother and father are listed from Germany speaking the language of Polish. Maryann is shown to be unemployed.

John and Maryann’s three children are listed as follows:

John – Age 7

Lewis (spelled incorrectly – Louis) – Age 5

Edward – Age 3

Listed below on the same document is Maryann’s mother and father:

John Nowak – Age 63, married age 26, no schooling, immigrated to the United States from Germany in 1883, occupation; flower farmer. He was married at age 26 and was not a veteran. His home was documented as worth $40.

Anna – Age 55, could read and write; come to United States in 1890 and listed as laborer.The document states they spoke Polish before coming to the United States, but they spoke English.

Their daughter, Florence was also listed as age 15.
